I Need My Monster is a familiar tale of a boy who can't fall asleep with a twist. Instead of being afraid of monsters, he is upset because his favorite monster isn't under his bed this night. If your kids liked Monster Inc., they'll like this one. Don't worry, there are no really scary monsters like Randall. It's all just good fun.
Other than the humorous and engaging story this is probably one of the best illustrated books I have ever seen. Definitely one of my top ten and I've read thousands. Howard McWilliam is a master of lighting, layout, mood, character development and overall eye-candy. I'm now a fan and will look for his work in the future.
